Best 5 Smartphones 2020
we are almost in the middle of 2020, and although it has been a pretty bad year so far, the good news is that we have had excellent smartphones, and in this blog I will give you my five best smartphones of the year so far. Some disclaimer before entering. In the first place. So there could be some smartphones that would make your list that didn't make my list. It is absolutely fine. Also, this is my personal top five. It may be slightly different from your list. It's also okay, we can still be friends. Please drop the toppicks in the comments below. Final disclaimer, this listing is not in any particular order. I'm just giving you my top five. Having said that, let's go now.
samsung galaxy S20plus
So the first smartphone on mylist in no particular order is the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus. Now the S20 line has three smartphones, the S20, the S20 Plus and the S20 Ultra. In my opinion, the S20 Ultra is more of a passionate phone. It is not something for everyone. Considering that the S20, as well as the S20 Plus, are smartphones that are easily recommended for most people. The Samsung Galaxy S line is known for having some great all-rounders, and that's definitely the case here with the Samsung GalaxyS20 and the S20 Plus.
We have some fantastic displays with 120 hertz refresh rates that make things very, very fluid. Excellent complete cameras with very consistent results, especially for blogs. I would say the S20sdo has the best video on the Android side up to 8K video recording. A user interface, which I personally like very much, and I think it's very simple and clean, with an emphasis on one-handed use, which many manufacturers don't take into consideration. Excellent general hardware with flatter displays than we have had in previous years, which is something I really like. 25 watts of fast charge ready to use. Wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, and although the Galaxy S for the first time this year doesn't have a 3.5mm jack, we still have a micro SD card slot. So you can expand the storage space here, which you can't do on practically any other device right now. Now we have some different variations depending on your region. You can get the Exynos variant or the Qualcomm Snapdragonvariant, and that's something I've talked about in many videos before. There is an inconsistency in performance and if you get the SnapcommagonQualcomm version, you will get a superior device
overall, and although we have a 120 hertz display, this is only in full HD. We don't get quad HD resolution if you want 120 hertz. Well, despite that, if you want an extraordinary all-rounder, the S20 and S20 Plus are great options.
Oppo Find X2 Pro
Now a device that offers both quad HD resolution at 120 hertz is the Oppo Find X2 Pro. This is a really good all-rounder. Really bright display even with minimal bezels. Check all the boxes when it comes to specifications. Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, 12 gigabytes of LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.0 memory with 512 gigabytes and the fastest charging I have tested on any smartphone, 65 watt SuperVOOC 2.0, which can bring your phone from zero to 100% in about 40 minutes, which is absolutely insane. We have some really good cameras, including periscope zoom technology that will allow you to get very close to your subjects. Now, although you do have some of the fastest wire charging you'll find out there, unfortunately there is no wireless charging that I found myself missing, and the cameras are really good, but the Ithink selfie camera can be improved. You only have up to 1080p and the dynamic range isn't great when shooting portraits. The device also starts at 1,100 pounds which could be a bit expensive, although it is in line with many other flagships out there. Now if you are looking for many of the same features that you find on Find X2 Pro, but at a cheaper price, of course.
OnePlus 8 Pro
we have OnePlus 8 Pro which is the next device on my list. Now OnePlus 8 Pro looks very similar to Find X2 Pro and that's because it's almost the same display. Oppo and OnePlus are partner companies. So it is easy to understand why. So you have a 120 + quad hertz HD + that makes things super smooth, but what I like about OnePlus devices is that, yes, all the boxes are ticking when it comes to hardware, but it's really the software that makes things even more fast. Oxygen OS is one of the myfavorite skins on Android. It's very clean and not really too confusing, and also, you get very fast updates from OnePlus too. The camera has also been improved this year. We have some really good cameras here on OnePlus 8 Pro,
very similar to that of the competition, and we get 30 watts of immediate charging, but what is more important is that for the first time on a OnePlus device, there will also be wireless charging. Not only that, it's up to 30 watts of wireless charging. Now, even if you need to have a separate charger for this, it's a really nice option to have. Obviously it is not perfect. and the cameras are extraordinarily good at the rear, but again the front camera is stuck at 1080p. It is not possible to get 4K from the front camera and the price, although it is cheaper than other flagships starting from around 800 pounds, or $ 900, is a bit higher than what OnePlus previously offered, but nevertheless OnePlus 8 Pro is a really good all-round smartphone at this price, and it's a device that I can easily recommend.
Huawei P40 Pro
The next smartphone on mylist is Huawei P40 Pro. Now this myopion smartphone has the best design on any smartphone this year with its silver frost finish that I really like. Huawei, really one of the first to introduce gradual finishes on their smartphones, and I think they did a great job here with the P40 Pro. Another thing that Huawei introduced was the periscope zoom technology and on the P40 Pro we have excellent cameras , some of my favorites. The zoom is really very good and we had a very large primary sensor, but in addition to that you get excellent front cameras. I'd say the P40 Pro has my favorite selfie cameras on any smartphone right now, and that's because we shot two front cameras, which really help with portrait mode. However, those give you a bit of a cut, the pill clipping on the display and the display is really good, but it's 90 hertz, not 120 hertz like we've seen in some other competitions.
Now that pill cutout also has some additional sensors, which allow 3D facial unlocking which is something that no other smartphone on this list offers. So you have an in-display fingerprint scanner and a very secure 3D facial unlock. Other devices usually only use the front camera for unlocking the face which doesn't make them really safe. This is not the case with the P40 Pro. You have to have very secure methods of unlocking your smartphone. You get 40 watts of charging out of the box, plus a wireless charging of up to 27.5 watts, but obviously the biggest downside of the P40 Pro is the lack of support for Google Play services. Now this is very unfortunate, and although it is perfectly possible to use the P40 Pro on a daily basis because we have alternatives such as the Huawei app gallery, and personally for me in particular, the pure APK app gallery which gives you most of the apps that you would use it regularly, obviously you miss those main Google Play services and, although it is possible to access many via the web browser, the experience will not be the same as a device that supports Google Play services from the beginning. Some people have found alternative solutions to get Google Play Services unofficially on the P40 Pro, but I really hope that this situation can be resolved in the long term because Huawei offers some excellent devices and brings a lot of competition on the table, and the P40 Pro for Medefinitly makes my list of the top five smartphones of this year so far.
iPhone SE
Now the final smartphone on my list that I know of will be a little controversial, and that's the iPhone SE. Now, before people go crazy in the comments that say what one of your favorite smartphones of the year can be so far, listen to me. Yes, the display is not close to the 2020 flagship displays that we have these days. It is practically the same as the iPhone 6 which came out many, many years ago, and we have very thick bezels with LCD technology and a low resolution, however the iPhone SE sells for around $ 400, or around £ 420, and in my opinion , has the best cameras ever for photos and videos at this price, and that's a good thing, although the camera hardware may be old camera hardware, it's using the A13 Bionic chip. It is very fast and fluid. Now it's not perfect, of course.
Along with that display, it also doesn't have the best battery life because it's a very small battery but you get wireless charging here, and it's also a much more compact form factor, which you can't find these days on many other smartphones. So if you're looking for a smaller smartphone at a reasonable price, and especially if you want to be part of the Apple ecosystem and take advantage of features like Airdrop, the iPhoneSE is a really good option, and so far it has made my list of the top five. . So this is my best five smartphone of 2020 so far. What are your best five smartphones of the year? Drop those in the comments below. That's all for me, guys.
